Climbing in Pescopennataro: a vertical paradise in the village

Loading...

In Pescopennataro, one of the most charming villages in Alto Molise, imposing rock walls rise on the western side of the historic center at 1200 meters above sea level. This open-air climbing gym is among the most popular in central-southern Italy for rock climbing enthusiasts.

As part of a local tourism enhancement project, the Municipality has equipped several climbing routes with grades ranging from 4 to 7a, making the crag ideal for both expert climbers and beginners. The sectors are easily accessible, located directly in the village and reachable via the SS652 road along the Sangro Valley.

An unforgettable experience that combines sport, adrenaline, and the charm of an ancient village surrounded by nature.
