Borgotufi Albergo Diffuso

Borgotufi is an ancient rural village in the municipality of Castel del Giudice, restored and transformed into a “diffused hotel” through careful and precise architectural recovery, made possible by the creation of a public company involving local citizens, institutions, and a group of entrepreneurs from the area. The buildings of the ancient village, which have been restored with earthquake-resistant criteria, are complemented by contemporary architectural interventions clad in local stone and reusable original materials. A 40-hectare apple orchard dedicated to the cultivation of organic apples provides the village with a natural engine for economic sustainability. It stands as a unanimous declaration of love from its inhabitants for a territory of pristine beauty, with great historical, gastronomic, and natural significance.
At Borgotufi, eco-sustainability is at the heart of its operations, with official recognitions placing it among the most virtuous municipalities in the national landscape. The revival of the vernacular architecture of Castel del Giudice is nearing completion. Currently, 25 housing units are available, while another 8 are being completed. The estimated final accommodation capacity is approximately one hundred beds.
Inside the houses, the design respects the style and traditions of the inhabitants, offering simplicity and sobriety, without sacrificing the modern comforts essential for guests. There are houses of various sizes, depending on the number of guests per unit. Each house offers: free Wi-Fi, minibar, safe, and a kitchenette. Some houses also have usable fireplaces.
