De Girolamo agriturismo traces its origins back to 1930, when great-grandfather Teodoro acquired the land, originally used for arable farming. In 1970, the property was passed on to his son Matteo, who established a farmhouse dedicated to cattle breeding, later converted for pig farming. At the same time, his wife Laura opened a traditional butcher shop, which became renowned for processing meats sourced directly from the family farm.
In 2008, the farmhouse underwent a major transformation under the guidance of Matteo’s son, Teodoro, who renovated the structure to create an equestrian farm stay (equiturismo), offering guests experiences centered around horse riding and local food traditions.
Today, the third generation—Alessandro and Laura—manage the business with dedication and a deep respect for family heritage. The agritourism facility is committed to providing guests with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a comfortable stay in a high-quality rural setting.
A strong emphasis is placed on equestrian tourism, with organized horse riding excursions throughout the Molise region, particularly in the Frentano area. The experience is immersive, promoting both tangible aspects (landscape, nature, history, culture) and intangible ones (hospitality, local culinary traditions, and more).
The facility includes a stable and breeding center with over 30 horses, including Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, and hosts a Western riding center affiliated with FITETREC-ANTE. The equestrian trails are part of the “Cammini del Molise Frentano” (Paths of Frentano Molise) network.
