The story of the Allocca family began many years ago in a small cellar in Fuorigrotta, Naples. In this place, where the barrels were expertly handled by Don Ciccio, the father of the current owner, a magical atmosphere filled the air. This environment left a lasting impression on young Peppe Allocca, who was then just a curious and lively child. To this day, the family’s dedication to beverage craftsmanship remains a core element of their business.
In 1985, the family moved to Isernia, a quiet town of about 20,000 inhabitants, with the goal of opening a restaurant dedicated to fresh seafood and authentic Neapolitan pizza. This is how Ristorante California was born, achieving immediate success and eventually managing 220 seats divided into three shifts to meet the growing demand.
After fifteen years of intense activity, Peppe Allocca decided to continue his journey in Colli al Volturno, on the way to Roccaraso, opening the restaurant La Canonica. In this more tranquil setting, he offered a menu focused exclusively on high-quality fresh fish, paired with a selection of wines from all over Italy, delighting skiers passing through.
In 2002, the family expanded into catering and banqueting services, initially operating in fifteen locations across Central Italy. Since 2018, they have been exclusively working for Le Cascate, a venue nestled in nature at Monte Sacco, just a few kilometers from Isernia.
In 2016, the family opened Sorsi & Morsi in Isernia, an intimate restaurant with 40 seats, where a constantly evolving cuisine is offered, focusing on the meticulous care of ingredients and paired with an extensive wine selection.
