The Bonefro Rock Festival is an annual music event held in the picturesque medieval village of Bonefro. Since 1994 (the longest-running rock event in the region) this festival has celebrated rock music, attracting emerging and established artists from all over Italy.
In 2024 the festival celebrated its 30th edition at the Fontana della Terra Theater, an atmospheric location that has hosted numerous bands and music fans. The event usually takes place in early August, offering three evenings of live concerts that enliven the local community and visitors.
Emerging bands, with a dedicated contest, and nationally established bands are featured throughout the event. During the evenings, bands compete for access to the semifinals and, finally, the finals to win first place.
The Bonefro Rock Festival is not only an opportunity to listen to good music, but it is also a time for the local community to come together. Bonefro, with its Lombard castle and typically medieval streets, offers a unique atmosphere that enriches the festival experience.
Each year, the festival continues to grow, cementing its reputation as one of Molise’s most anticipated music events. For rock music fans and those who wish to discover the beauty of Bonefro, this festival is a must-see.
