Is autumn your favorite season, and do you love its fruits? Then you simply must mark your calendar for the 9th edition of the Castel del Giudice Apple Festival, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year in Upper Molise, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Nestled amid the greenery and peace of Molise’s natural landscape, this charming village comes alive for two days in October, transforming into a vast open-air stage. Street performers, musicians, traditional games for adults and children, local farmers, visitors, and families gather to celebrate the queen of autumn: the apple.
Visitors can explore the apple orchards and the historic center, sample organic apples, farm-brewed beer, honey, and local zero-kilometer products at the organic and artisanal farmers’ market, enjoy musical and folkloric performances, and try their hand at vintage games designed to engage both adults and children.
The town’s streets will come alive with food and craft stalls, where you can discover local specialties, while artists from the CasteldelGiudice Buskers Festival will provide lively and engaging music, performances, and spontaneous entertainment throughout the event.
There will also be initiatives dedicated to environmental conservation and promotion, such as “Puliamo il Mondo” (Let’s Clean Up the World), organized in collaboration with the Castel del Giudice Legambiente Chapter and the staff of Casa Frezza.
Among the most fascinating experiences is the tour of the Community Apiary, which offers a glimpse into the world of bees and a closer look at life in the hive. Equipped with the necessary gear, participants can safely observe the bees’ daily activities.
