In the heart of Molise, the International Museum of the World Wars (MIGM) offers a unique experience for history lovers and curious visitors. Housed in an old oil mill, the museum tells the story of soldiers’ daily lives during the two world wars, with a focus on the Cassino front battles from 1943 to 1944.

Spanning 900 square meters over two floors, the museum features 12 themed rooms displaying around 150 original uniforms, military gear, historical documents, and rare artifacts. A “technical room” showcases 300 deactivated weapons, along with radios, medals, flags, and propaganda materials.

Outside, visitors can admire vintage military vehicles, artillery pieces, and a rare historical aircraft. A special section highlights the uniforms of Allied and German forces, including the highly sought-after SA and SS uniforms, drawing visitors from across Europe.

One of the most touching areas is dedicated to the Resistance, deportees, and military internees, featuring personal belongings and moving testimonies.

The MIGM is a true journey into the past, with fully accessible pathways for all visitors. If you love history and want to explore the key events that shaped the 20th century, this museum is a must-visit!
